Twostriped Walkingstick
My daughter Kiko found this beauty and saved it for me so I could inspect, identify, photograph and release.
I'm not personally familiar with these insects and the large size surprised me. This specimen was about 2.5 inches, which probably means it is female as they are larger than males.
This Walkingstick was quite active after being captured and was ready to move on with her day.
Awww... she is kind of cute...
Yikes! I take that back - scary!
Her ridges and gold lines were amazing. It looked like someone painted her.
