Perito Moreno Glacier
The most known and impressive of the glaciers of this National Park is the Perito Moreno Glacier, located at the southern end, opposite the Magellan Peninsula, 78 Km. From El Calafate.
This glacier shows a surprising and curious phenomenon, in which its great mass of ice advances continuously, causing the accumulation, rupture and detachment of gigantic blocks of ice in its front of 5 km of width, located on the Channel of the Icebergs; This is where the numerous ice fragments of the glacier sail.
The front of the glacier surpasses 60 m above the water at its maximum height, from where pieces of various sizes continuously fall, producing a stridency comparable to the sound of thunder.
awesome destination, so much memories seen in the images itself. @raptorx1
