What to say about the magical Trikala of Thessaly!
A place that remains handsome and attractive in all seasons of the year!!! Squares, shops, market, wonderful taverns, trees, fountains and beautiful people.
There are so many nice cafes and alleys that anyone can visit. We also do not forget to mention the river that divides this beautiful city into two. You can admire it either from above, by staying on the bridge, or by descending the stairs to reach just a few centimeters away.
At this time Trikala was even more beautiful! There were Christmas trees and lights on all trees as well as the shrubs around the river, giving a unique golden glow to the atmosphere that is engraved in your memory.
Trikala, at Christmas time, is famous for its "Christmas Village," an enormous area within the trees that includes countless Christmas houses and is called the "Elf's Mill". There, you can participate in various activities, dance, take part in Christmas events as well as have fun in Christmas games. There are also small houses with different themes, where there are many kinds of food, sweets as well as many other exhibits worth seeing. Also interesting was the traditional mill of Trikala in which visitors can learn how the mill was working by walking between the machines and in specially designed spaces where there is information about everything.
This Christmas village is worth visiting for people of all ages to admire Christmas decorations, buy sweets and traditional food as well as meeting the huge fountain of melted chocolate!
There are also many kinds of handmade chocolate that you can try and buy. Also remarkable is the great home of European cuisine, where there were tables with food and sweets from many European countries. Also in the same place is the "Forest of Wishes", where everyone can write his wish on a small card and hang it on the branches of the trees.
The festive and cheerful Christmas spirit is everywhere!
