fishing the water

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Beautiful lotuses came to blossom recently. Sadly thing is I cant travel to China and I dont have this beauty around me. I had to rely on what I have in the local park: water, reeds, and of course the magic hour! This special mini photosession was all about the reflections. I used my Sigma 150mm tele-macro lens.

Btw, the pic I start the post, was the final image of the session. Let me put on the table Cartie Bresson's quote:

dont finish the job, when you think you have nailed it, be ready and continue to shoot, as the situation is going on, it can develope into smth different, and provide options for getting even better shot, than you think you already have done

(smth like that; I'm doing a reverse russian-english translation from memory). Ofc, he was talking about the reportage photography... but nevertheless, you've got the idea.

And more reflections from the same pond. Here is the beginning of this story. Above shots were the very last ones, the best I came up to.

While I was shooting this, a soviet jet fighter aircraft reflected in the water! Believe me or not, I managed to capture it, here is the proof pic.
