Male and Female stones at Avebury Ring in England
This stone circle is as old as Stonehenge but not as touristy and covers a wider area. the wide open spaces means you walk more but see more!
The sheep are quite happy grazing around the ancient stones and don't seem to mind the visitors milling around. It is thought that the ring had meanings for fertility and ancient forms of worship.
