Shell Fossils in the Lava Rock - Big Island Hawaii

I love looking at the smooth round Lava boulders. I contemplate about the passage of time.

This one jagged piece of Lava entered the ocean hundreds of years ago and the power of the ocean pushed it back and forth until it became smooth. Then the Shellfish made a home in the holes until a big wave pushed the boulder up on land.
