Landscape Photography: beauty of Silesian Harta, one of the largest Czech dams

Through my entry for today´s #landscapephotography contest hosted by @juliank, I would like to take you to a beautiful place that I visited some two weeks ago - the picturesque water reservoir known as Silesian Harta.
Built on the Moravice River in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the country between 1987 and 1997, Silesian Harta is the youngest and most modern dam in the Czech Republic.
With a total surface area of 874 ha, it is also the ninth largest dam in the country by area. There are several villages that offer direct access to the dam such as Nova Plan, Karlovec, Roudno or Leskovec nad Moravici. My recent bike trip took me to the last village - Leskovec nad Moravici - so all of the photos featured in this post were taken in and around this tiny village that is home to just some 400 people.
The dark green hill in the background is Velky Roudny - a massive, 780 m (2,559 ft) tall strato volcano that went extinct between 1 and 2 million years ago.
Originally, Silesian Harta was meant to serve as a back-up water reservoir for the nearby Kruzberk Dam but these days, it is mostly used as a very popular recreation area. Visitors can choose from a variety of summer outdoor activities and water sports such as fishing, windsurfing, yachting, wild swimming, canoeing, hiking in the beautiful natural surrounding etc.
Fun fact: Even though you have probably never been to Silesian Harta, there is a good chance you have actually seen it on the screen - the dam and the local countryside was featured in the 1999 epic French historical drama movie "The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc" starring Milla Jovovich, John Malkovich, Dustin Hoffmann and Faye Dunaway.
As a matter of fact, many background actors featured in this famous movie were actually common people from the nearby villages and towns :)

Colorful and beautiful! I was in Czech Repubic in May of this year but did not go to that region.

Very beautiful landscape photo, lake, hill, sky, greenery i love it brother , it reminds me the mercy of almighty, who has created the all natures, He is the creator, He is the nourisher, maintainer, sustainer, we should obey His Command, He is Allah, we have to back again to Him.
