Cityscape Photography: skyline of Valletta, the capital city of Malta

When searching for an entry for today´s #cityscapephotography contest hosted by @juliank. I stumbled upon this panoramic view of Valletta that I haven´t shared with you yet.

Home to just some 6,500 people, Valletta is the capital city of the tiny Mediterranean country of Malta. Known as the southernmost capital city in Europe, Valletta is literally packed with astonishing architecture that ranges from Baroque to Mannerism and Neo-Classicism.

Since the city occupies just 0.8 sq km (0.3 sq mi), you encounter architectural jewels such as magnificent fortresses, impressive bastions or majestic cathedrals and palaces literally around every corner.

This micro-city is perfectly walkable and roaming its old narrow streets definitely feels like traveling back in time :)
