Close view of the White Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin
Perhaps the main tourist attraction of my city of Nizhny Novgorod is the ancient Kremlin, one of the best in Russia. Recently, I was close to him on business and I took some photos from close range, they turned out to be quite pleasant. In the winter, the towers grow as if from snow and look solemn and majestic. In the photos below, the White Tower of our Kremlin:
The White Tower dates from the 16th century. In 1620 it was rebuilt. This photo clearly shows the reason why the tower is called "White" - because of the preserved white-stone facing of the lower part of the external facade. Interestingly, in 1923, the White Tower burned inside with the archival documents stored in it, but the structural elements of the tower did not receive any serious damage.

If you will ever be a tourist in Russia, and not only limited to the capital, come to Nizhny Novgorod and definitely buy a tour of the Kremlin. From its ancient walls are beautiful views, and the atmosphere of castles is always exciting. There is little (really little) information about the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin on Wikipedia here:

By the way, if you are a football fan and are going to the World Cup 2018 in Russia, my city will take 4 matches of the group stage, as well as 1/8 and 1/4 finals (6 games in total). So curious fans of Sweden, South Korea, England, Croatia, Argentina, Panama, Switzerland and Costa Rica will have the opportunity to wander through the ancient Russian walls of our Kremlin!
