Some more unexpected beauties in our apple valley!

A lily dangling over the dam wall.

Marian and I take a walk on the farm every day and we also climb a very steep hill. Due to my recovery process, we were advised that I should walk every day. Now you can imagine that the apple orchards are not level terrain and the areas around the farm dams are also not an easy walk, which is good for my walks.
I took all of these pictures on our walk today.
Join us on the walk.

Here we have a young Malachite that was grooming himself!

And of course here we have an adult Malachite on a Pincushion flower right next to an old Protea!

It turns out that the Malachite Sunbird was in fact sitting on a bed of Pincushions!

This is a cape Bul-Bul raiding the berries of a Syringa tree!

I think this happy little guy is called a Southern Double-collared Sunbird!

And finally I close as I opened with some flowers near the dam!

The sad tiding is that the lady that owns this apple farm has lost her fight against Leukemia cancer on Thursday morning at 02:30am. She passed away in a hospital in Israel. We will be attending a memorial service for her here at a church in the valley next Saturday morning. She struggled for years against the cancer and we supported her all the way, as we knew her well before the illness started. In fact she was adamant that we should come and live here on the farm to be with her in her last days.

And now it's all over, but we will find other accommodation here, as we want to stay in this valley and we have already started to make inroads with our @papilloncharity. Computers for a poor farm school and now some 9540 adult nappies that we are in the process of distributing to worthy causes and community members. Thus far we have already distributed 5400 and the other 4140 will soon be done.

Just some personal information above about our current status and hope you have enjoyed the pictures!

Thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity.

Absolutely stunning shots - every one! So sorry to hear about the lady who owns the farm. I pray that you will find other accommodation soon!

@dmcamera, thank you for the care and I was today invited to do a part of her funeral service. It seems that no decisions were taken yet and so we will wait patiently. Blessings!

Very wise. Just be still....

Yea, i really enjoyed the pictures. They are so beautiful, thanks for sharing

you capture this walk beautifully dear friend..
Beautiful article..

@tussar11 the water certainly lent a lovely background to the photo my friend. Thank you!

You stayed with your friend to the end, sad to hear she succumbed to the cancer, one thing in life, we are certain of death eventually.

Hope you find accommodation not to be a problem with you still being in recovery yourself.

Beautiful birds to cheer up the last few days, thoughts are with you Stephen.

@joanstewart Thank you Lady Joan. The family came to ask if I would do the closing and the blessing after the service and it certainly takes a bit of a load off my shoulders. We briefly touched on the issue of relocation, but we were told that no firm decisions were taken yet! And so we are back into the limbo phase. Not good for me, but we will endure! Blessings!

Gorgeous photos as always @papilloncharity, but so sorry to hear about your friend! Do hope your find suitable accommodation in that beautiful area so you can continue the good work right there:)

@lizelle, thank you Lady Lizelle, we trust in the Lord to guide and protect us. As I said to Joan, we were told today that no firm decisions were taken yet. Maybe, just maybe everything here will work out and if not, then we will continue the work, as I am sure that we will find something else. Blessings!

With that kind of trust and faith, something will crop up or status quo may remain!
