Protea, South Africa's National Flower!
It was my dear mom's favorite flower and this bush grows wild in the backyard of my father in law's home.
A hardy and beautiful flower that has a long vase life! Some people dry them out and spray paint them in lovely colors such as gold and silver.
It was a small twig when planted that has since grown into a huge bush. Very popular flowers for wedding ceremonies and other formal gatherings! Of course birds, bees and butterflies love them.
