Our moon and Seagull surfing!
This was taken free hand last night in a practice for tonight's full blood moon!
Sadly we won't see the eclipse here in South Africa (I think), but I will try to get to a high spot tonight to get a shot at the blood moon. It's now 6:16pm or 18:16hrs over here and still bright sunshine.
In any case, I have also posted some pictures here to show that a seagull surfs in the opposite direction to humans.
Let's have a look!
You can see the surfer coming in at the bottom of the photo!
He made a perfect landing and stood waiting for a wave!
And there he goes, surfing away from the beach! For those that don't know, humans surf towards the beach Lol.
And finally, here he does something that humans cannot do, he takes off and flies away, at the same time drying his underwear in the wind. Phew! I thought that I might have to save him too and then have to face the backlash of setting off a seagull population explosion globally, but fortunately this guy took care of himself!
Of course this post was written with some mirth in mind!

Gorgeous shot os the Moon and Birds, good luck catching a shot of it today, I did see it this evening but was to cold to try and go get shots
Cloud problems over here JJ, but I did get a few shots! So sad that the cold was around your side and it certainly gets to us more mature guys. Blessings!
Thats a pity but will watch for your shots, and yes with each year I seem to feel winter more and more
So sad that we couldn't see the eclipse from SOUTH AFRICA :(

Eclipse happened at sunrise, unless you were high up apparently there was not much to see, also did not bother to crawl out that early Stephen.
Johnathan the seagull paddling out looking for small fish in the waves, nothing to catch moved off to another place, clever bird sure knows how to wing it.
