Ever seen an incomplete Rainbow?

That's it! Just the start of a rainbow and that is how it stayed.

I picked up on the strange color in the morning and decided to keep an eye on it, as I have never seen this before. Where I come from up-country, we always only saw the complete half moon rainbow, but never something like this.
Let me show you!

The rainbow stopped just above the cloud layer

It didn't continue to form an arch.

This far and no further. It seems that the rainbow was limited by the cloud cover!

And finally, this was it! End of the rainbow as it slowly disappeared.

Yet another amazing event in my life. I am yet to learn all of the tricks that mother nature plays in this new place where we now stay and let me tell you that here secrets cannot be learnt overnight. It takes time and trust. Fortunately I am an outdoors person and as always, I am open to her teachings.

This brief start of the rainbow reminded me so much of the charity world. In the early days when we started The Papillon Foundation, (@papilloncharity), there was much fanfare and excitement about. Some community members enlisted in our training courses and after graduation they went off and started their own charities.

All went well at the beginning like this rainbow, but one after the other they lasted only for a few months before closing down. Once they realized that charity work is not a way to riches, they simply like the rainbow disappeared. The sad thing is that they disappointed a lot of needy people and short efforts like this continue to give charities a bad name.

If you are not prepared to sacrifice, please do not start a charity. Simple and true advice.
Think about it!

Beautiful rainbows photography ...!

@marjanko thank you my friend! Blessings!

Simply wonderful!

@kalemandra, a great thank you for your kind support and for the resteem! Blessings!

Lovely! Half rainbows are common here. The complete ones are rare.

@cendrinemedia thank you and great that you also have half rainbows, we have both half and full here in the apple valley almost every day now during the winter rainy season. Blessings!

Wow - look at that pretty sky!! Between all this freezing cold weather we have been having, I'm glad to see something beautiful come of it! Makes me feel like I'm not freezing my little butt off for nothing! That and our dams are filling up nicely!!

@mimismartypants talking about little bums, I commiserate with you as I went from 80kg to 69kg after the operation and I know exactly what you are talking about. That pretty sky was soon replaced by the cold and pregnant clouds coming in from the ocean. The Overberg is blessed almost every day with rain since we arrived her 7 weeks ago. Blessings!

Lol i dont think my butt is that tiny though!! But you know how the song goes, fat bottom girls make the rocking girl go round!! How is your health now?? Getting better!?

Lucky you!! Small blessings from above!! I was in the Overberg two weeks ago as well!! We had bursts of rain, was freezing but we still had lots of sunshine!!

@mimismartypants getting there slowly healthwise and we visit the Bio-Kinetic centre in Somerset West once a week. It can certainly freeze over here, but the apple trees love the cold during their resting period. Monday was freezing, but Tuesday and today things were a bit better! Blessings!

Slow and steady! You will get there!! Recovery is a process!! But you got this!!

Things are looking up in the city as well. Mr sun made an appearance yesterday and seems to be sticking around!! But have you ever noticed how it almost always rains on the 1st of spring?

@mimismartypants training done and still alive. We are only here for two months now, thrown into the deep end in winter and still have to have our first Spring season here. However the trees are whispering to me that spring is almost about and many of them have new little blossoms. Our fig tree in the garden is also sporting some new small, green leaves and some tiny figs. Rain on the first day would be a great promise. Blessings!

Very true about people taking the baton and not completing the distance, very expressive way of passing on the message.

@joanstewart glad you liked it and the thing about me is that I relate many nature scenes to past experiences, both good and bad and then I try to reach out to others in order to teach. The idea is always to help and to prevent! Blessings!

God's promise sure looks great! Great job capturing it dear friend!

@coquiunlimited and also great to see your comment again my dear friend! All blessings to you and thank you!
