Bringing great relief to poor souls!

Imagine being confined to a bed with no money, or very little to buy Diapers?

There are many organizations in our country that struggle to survive, as costs continue to spiral and the result is dwindling support. Just a small example here is that the government funds R900 for Diapers and this was cut to R400. How does one keep patients, or old frail persons clean if there is no money for diapers?
In one situation, the residents at a home for the elderly were wrapped in brown paper!

Here we go again! In a previous post I explained about the delivery of 9540 Adult Diapers that were donated to The Papillon Foundation. We have recently settled here in the rural areas and thus far 2400 nappies have been distributed to several old age homes and disabled care centers in our little town. Here is another one of them.

We arrived at this old age home to the management's great delight.

Two of the farmworkers where we stay thankfully helped us with the free deliveries.

Done! Another happy home that received 600 nappies! Marian Smith (Papillon) is standing here in the middle of the two home managers.

Wow! I never knew that adult diapers were so expensive. We try to stock each home with a year's supply and thankfully this was managed in our little town. This particular home is the "better" one, as the poor ones that I will show you in another post is much more dilapidated. Be this as it may, everyone is suffering the same fate.
Here's the thing, a thing that I find very troubling. Why do the big charities not adopt and help the little ones?

If a big name charity receive millions every year, why not draft a law that they should partner with 10 smaller charities in the rural areas? We can only do so much, but our hearts are in our work and we will continue until we can no more, but it's not enough. In fact it will never be enough, as the poor are like a stormy ocean that laps at human consciences.
But, enough of my moaning, tomorrow another 2 towns are coming here to fetch nappies and we will continue until the last box is gone. So be it!

This is really great work by The Papillon Foundation...
i appreciate work of the Papillon Foundation.

@tussar11 thank you and we do it all according to the Grace from our Father in Heaven! Blessings!

Big charities should help the smaller ones, more man power sharing out into small communities like you have found yourself living in @papilloncharity

@joanstewart exactly the way that I feel Lady Joan. The time for window dressing is long gone and people should start to walk the talk. Yes, we are struggling financially and so are many other smaller ones and we can do so much more if we had the manpower! Blessings!

God bless you for the work you do! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

@dmcamera thank you for the kind words and it's our pleasure to share what we do, as in fact everyone that supports our work are also partners in the work that we do! Blessings!
