Apple tree doctoring started today!
Have you ever seen something like this? Apple tree sanitizing!
The last of the early morning mist starts to disappear, telling us that the sun will soon be upon us!
Today is a special day, as the first tree spraying of the season is about to start. Now I have always seen this from afar, but never right up close and today will be my first time, almost in the driver's seat. The equipment has been prepared according to the manufacturer's standard and the representative gave the okay to start at sunrise!

All eyes were on the hill and finally, the sun started to rise signaling the start to the tree treatment operation!
And here we go!
Wow! What a fan and it's adjusted to ultimate performance settings!
The fan whines like an aircraft motor in action!
What a job, each of the tree rows in the separate growing blocks on the farm will be sprayed!
Starting from one boundary of the farm, right across to the other one!
And finally, this is what it looks like from the top of the dam wall!
The next few days will be filled with the whine of the spraying machine, but it's absolutely necessary, as healthy trees bear healthy fruit. And so in the off season, we had the pruning and the tidying up of the trees and now the spraying operations. All done according to strict planning procedures and the rest is up to the weather.
Of course we pray for another bumper crop season and another gold certificate for the fruit quality!
