What if the Moon had life ?

Cloud Moon Forest

Wouldn't it be great if the Moon was like Earth with an atmosphere life & colour. It's deadpan dusty surface is something I've always slightly lamented. Perhaps one day we'll synthesise a living atmosphere with UV proof domes or a super advanced force field as yet not invented. Photo composited from my own separate original photographic sources.

Technical

Moon shot on tripod with a Tamron SP 300mm manual lens & adapter for Micro 4/3rd (Panasonic) DMC Gf2 making it 600mm effective focal length (a small telescope). Image composited with two separate images. One of summer clouds and one of Epping Forest with Beech and Oak trees.

Photo-composited in Photoshop using blend mode overlays. I also have this as a framed print. Using a manual lens (lovingly refurbished by The Lens Doctor (who incidentally was the guitarist in Thin Lizzy and you can find on ebay), means no aperture reading. Usually, if the sun is tilting full reflection, I keep the aperture tight and use a shutter speed of approx 1/100th to 1/125th. ISO 100 and white balance for sunlight, which is what we're looking at when we see the moon.

Beautiful and cold looking.

with cool clear, air (no pollution) and sugar gliders sailing through the spindly treetops in slow motion due to low gravity

@outerground stunning cant stop looking at it!

Thanks man, It's been in my mind for a very long time.. it's almost become like a Jungian dream symbol representing the miracle of life.
