The Artist's Garden - A Photographic Study in Black & White
The Artist's Garden
Friends & Neighbours
I've know Magnus Irvin for about 10 years. He's an artist of the most versatile variety. Incredibly talented and with a zest for life rarely seen in an ordinary human. He's also a good friend. One who doesn't judge, offers the kind of advice you want, when you need it. He's supportive and open to all ideas big and small and an encourages experimentation without prejudice.
The Garden
Magnus is a maker of things. As one of the UK's best print makers his work is both inspiring and challenging. He also creates sculpture, makes films, designs installations, performances and performance art, publishes a nonsense magazine and is quite well known for his best selling edible chocolate anuses, poo-cards and precious metal bum casting. https://edibleanus.com/
As I said versatile. He is also a phenomenal mural painter, designer of automata and maker of cakes, sometimes in the form of life size humans. So his garden is full of inspiration from headless mannequins to motorcycle parts, beer pumps and plants growing in shoes.
An ongoing project
I have been documenting The Artist's Garden for a good few years. Watching and recording the change has been fascinating. Nowhere else will you find tomatoes and strawberries happily growing among engine blocks and film props

Excellent post dear friend / @ outerground congratulations on the beautiful images you have captured, I must admit that in this case the artist is the photographer, who was able to capture what he saw in these beautiful photographs, thank you very much for sharing this beautiful images
Very interesting post and the black and white pictures capture the essence of the post.
Thanks Team.. Sometimes colour detracts from the overall impression. In this case definitely, you are absolutely right !
Thank You Nano2nd. Very kind words. (too kind) The Artist's Garden is one of my favourite ongoing projects and I will post another as it changes.
I've got a fresh installment of the Artist's Garden and will be posting soon. I'll plug you in, there's some great new additions including assorted bones
Cool!
Cheers Jas ! you have to see it in the flesh... or plastic metals and leaves anyway !
Not that every fuzzy type is an artist, but people obsessed with order cannot find time for creative thinking. Therefore, the real artist will likely have to paid his internal creative order with the outer “order”… which will eventually be recorded by some @outerground 😊
Upvoted, resteemed & DPS.
Thank PT I think you've captured the essence of creativity there. Magnus art is on the inside, the outside and the upsides and down sides.. probably other sides too.. and I'll always be there to capture the magic falling.. Cheers for the support Ace x
