This disturbing image is an example of photographic digital distortion. It can create altered perception in the same way as psychotropic compounds can and the phantasmagoric results partly explains my enduring fascination with digital technology. He was actually blue to start with. He came dressed as Rogue Trooper in fancy dress (and he's a steemian)
Deep Dream - Everybody has 2 sides - Self Portrait
As part of an ongoing series of left / right face portraits, I ran this one through Deep Dream's AI processing. It's quite hideous, fantastic and incredibly psychedelic in it's own strange way. Intelligent self referencing distortion produces something from another dimension with fractals at it's heart. squint and you'll see the both sides of my face. It's really interesting as an examination to put both sides of someone's face together so what you see here is 2 rights side flanking my actual face flanked by 2 left sides. It seems that there is in all of us, the capacity to be 3 people. I started making this series many years ago and have photographed and analysed lots of faces. You see people in a different way than is usual

thanks @stillwatersart. Deep Dream is really quite odd. it will also process video if you have the patience. Deep Art Effects also creates some amazing results (free version as an android app)
That’s wild looking! I have an iPhone and iPad. I will have to check and see if they make one for those.
deep dream is an online google tool. you just upload your images to it https://deepdreamgenerator.com/ it's also open source so there are plenty of places to upload images to be processed. this gives a range of styles to choose from with parameter settings :)

deep dream gives me the creeps. It's like a really strong hallucinogenic effect but in a slightly dark, synthetic (& animal themed) way !! deep art effects on the other hand does produce some beautiful and intelligent photo effects, like this one of my girls. An impressive little free android app
Oh this is cool! I have played around with it a bit using my own art as the style image and it gives some interesting results for sure :)
oh yeah it get's really weird and quite interesting when you feed it your own art as a style. I'm very interested in deep AI for art. Aaron is a really good example of computers making art by being taught rules. by Harold Cohen
