Nice photo. I think you have a good point. Taking a photo has the same effect on me that locks in that moment/day. So looking back at a particular photo will often take me back to that moment. I think it's something to do with the fact that we live life on autopilot until we stop to take a photo and have to think about the the angles/lighting/etc. which makes the moment more memorable..
