📷 A photo experiment. Studying photography basics: how to photograph with a blurry background

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Blurred background effect can be achieved with the camera settings.

But, given that some lenses have a higher light, it is easier for them to achieve a beautiful blurred background or, as they say, a beautiful bokeh.
I tried a few options and share with you the results:

DSC_8837-_ISO_400_1-160_f_-_3_2_50
ISO-400 1/160 sec f/3.2 50mm

DSC_8818-_ISO_400_1-200_f_-_2_5_50
ISO-400 1/200 sec f/2.5 50mm

DSC_8819-_ISO_400_1-200_f_-_2_5_50
ISO-400 1/200 sec f/2.5 50mm

DSC_8853-_ISO_400_1-400_f_-_1_8_50
ISO-400 1/400 sec f/1.8 50mm

DSC_8857-_ISO_400_1-640_f_-_1_8_50
ISO-400 1/640 sec f/1.8 50mm

Looking at the parameters of the photos, you can see that the most open diaphragm played a decisive role in the strong blurring of the background in front of my photos.

Which picture do you like best?

Hope you enjoyed watching this photos!

The picture was taken Nikon d7000, lens Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8G SWM Aspherical

I definitely like the second photo best @olegst. As for that technique with the front focus and blurry background, that is probably my favourite. I also enjoy doing it in reverse... with the background of the photograph in focus and the forefront blurry :)

An interesting idea I'll try, thanks for the comment!

My absolute pleasure :)

Hi. @olegst photography is beautifully. . Keep it up..

Nice photos; difficult to choose... but I choose photo no 1.
