Back To The Hawrelak Park

in #photography6 years ago

We visited the park in January because we want to see the ice castle. It was a great experience and I made a post about it too. I'll post the link down below if you're interested.

But I know a lot of my followers are coming from the countries without snow and winter and it might be interesting for them to see how big the difference can be just a few months later.

I'm used to snow but the transition from winter to summer is soo fast here, that fascinates me every year.

In Slovenia, we have at least one rainy month or even more between winter and summer. Nature takes a time to wake up and start growing and blooming which is not the case here in Alberta.

It seems they have some kind of switch here. It happens almost overnight. Temperatures rise from zero to 27degrees just in a couple of days, people buy blooming plants and plant them in the front yards. Grass turns green and voila; summer is here.

Not soo in May.

But you need to admit that the castle it's quite persistent.

Geese, ducks, and seagulls replaced skaters

People can rent kayaks, canoes and some kind of water bicycles,

or just take a walk in the park.

Nature is beautiful.

And here is the link I promised. In case you want to chill down a little bit.

This one is out of context but I think I caught a beaver on this shot.

What do you think? Is it a beaver or not?

See you soon, my friends.
