A Hot Summer Day

We had a great day today. It was hot in the morning already and when the sweat starts pouring down the skin from every pore available I wasn't sure about my decision to take a ride.

I didn't expect to find much. Nature was calm and quiet.

But once I stopped and took a better look I was surprised. Nature never stops.

My target was the flower and the spider is just a coincidental addition to the shot.

They grow in the middle of the road and car tires can't get them.

The beetles are beautiful, but the plant is astonishing.

This big agave reminds me of the scene from an old western movie.

I assume these are not edible.

Tiny but fresh and tough in the summer heat.

She tried to escape during the short but refreshing rain shower later in the afternoon.
