Speaking of deer. My friend totaled a Nissan Sunny many years ago when I was still staying in Kansas City. The deer got away to tell its story and my friend told his story. He was told by some American colleagues that if he killed the deer, the deer is his to keep.
Yes that has always been my understanding. I have hit half a dozen or so, but they all scampered off into the fog. My favorite math teacher in high school was killed by hitting a deer. He was driving a Corvette and it came through the windshield.
