Three steps, three butterflies

in #photography7 years ago

A few days ago, only just out of the car, before having started my walk, I had already spotted three butterflies within photographing reach; a lazy photographer's dream. Here they are:

A red admiral (Vanessa atalanta), Atalanta in Dutch, sitting on the parking lot:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/500s

A comma (Polygonia c-album), gehakkelde aurelia in Dutch, with a hole in it:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/400s

And, yes, another large skipper (Ochlodes sylvanus), groot dikkopje in Dutch, slightly worn, with a droplet hanging off its bum:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO125, f8, 1/160s

Thanks for watching!
