Old Wheels

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Some old farming equipment's wheels I spotted the other day in a Dutch barn (we don't call it that, we say kapschuur*) near an old farmhouse:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 110mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/500s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 75mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/160s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 120mm, ISO125, f5.6, 1/250s

That last one, the single front wheel of an unusually shaped three-wheeled apparatus, is my favourite photo of the three. Don't know why.

Thanks for watching!

* If you're not Dutch or Flemish, trying to pronounce "kapschuur" correctly may cause a sore throat and other health problems. Maybe the Scots can pull it off safely, but I advise against trying.

Beautiful I love the way the light is hitting them, great framing!

Thanks! I had a rather tedious wait until the sun got low enough to make these photos 8-).

Well it was clearly worth the wait!

Thanks for taking us back in time ...
I like the way you enhance the colour in the photos by the use of shadows ...

Beautiful shots! Old farming equipment has a kind of romantic feel to it, I think. The last one is my favourite too, I think it is because of the way the light hits the wheel and creates this good contrast between light and shadow. Good job!

Thank you.
