Storm Breaks - Went For a Quick Mushroom Hunt 🌦️🍄 part 2

in #photography6 years ago

Another kind of mushroom which we've found in the pine grove near our house is called Crepidotus Mollis.

It grows individually or groups, on the trunks of dead or alive oak and eucalyptus trees.

The underpart pages are relatively dense, straight or wavy, thin, fan-like from the point of attachment to the trunk, initially whiteish, yellowish, then light brown.

The leg is missing or very short.

The "fleshy" part is thin, soft, glutinous, with a faint smell.

December-February is the time it usually appears.

Edible, but of low quality.
Requires pre-cooking for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
