Pine Cones 🌲
Since chiledhood these lil' friuts of the pine tree accompanying me throughout my life.
And so I've grown to love and appreciate them and thier role in nature.
A pine cone is a continuation of a branch that creates spores in the bosom of leaves.
The pine cone is used as a system of reproduction of plants from the needlers family.
It's a more prominent feature of this trees than the needle leaves, which do not exist in all species.
The pine cone structure is an example of finding a Fibonacci series in nature - the number of scales increases from row to line according to the Fiboacci sequence which is 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... and so one creating a spiral effect.
The cones are divided into two genders, different from one another.
The prominent cones are the female part, and contain the seeds of the plants (called pine nuts when it comes to pine cones).
The small, uncluttered cones are mostly male, and contain the stamens.
When the scales are opened, the pine cones will be painted yellow.
Enjoy!
