OH, MY BELOVED.

oh, my beloved. How did we get here? Who will ever thought we would once again find ourselves in a situation like this. Where did we get it wrong? Has it all come to this? Our dreams are flying away before our very eyes. My beloved, why does our aim to live in peace sounds as if we desire for snow to fall on our land. Why does our aim to be great sounds as if we desire to empty an ocean into a basket? Oh my fatherland, will you just seat and watch we your offspring "kill ourselves with words"? Some of your offspring wants to break away as it seems impossible to co-exist peacefully. We were called the GIANT OF AFRICA. But today, the name fades away like a painted house, which one could barely recognise it colour. Many years back citizens of other countries run to our land for greener pastures and at some point we send them back, hmmmmm "GHANA MUST GO." But today my brothers run to other countries for greener pastures and many are being sent packing back to our land while some are being killed. WHO BROUGHT THIS MISFORTUNE UPON US? OR SHOULD WE CALL THIS KARMA. Our leaders are like deadly python. Many of us no longer have a mind of our own, our words and actions are subject to that of our leaders.
My brothers and sisters won't we let go of our religious and political difference and put hands together to place this nation in the position it belongs? NIGERIA BELONGS TO YOU AND I. LET THE "CHANGE" START FROM YOU. NIGERIA BELONGS TO ALL OF US AND NOT JUST OUR LEADERS. I CRAVE FOR THE DAY WE WOULD ONCE AGAIN, CALL OURSELVES WITH PRIDE, "THE GIANT OF AFRICA"

such a lovely piece about our dear country Nigeria... but this mess is nemesis from long years of elite misrule...political grand corruption and northern hausa fulani hegemony... all these has accumulated to this perceived sense of frustration and desperation to leave this once noble land... issues related to divide and rule... politics of gets what when and how has let Nigeria into this mess and our so called elites are confuse as to what to do at this stage... its left in our hands to use social media like you doing to preach oneness and peace... avoid hate speech and ensure the masses takes over from the recycled leaders...
thanks for this post...you did well
