Yaquina Head Light, the tallest lighthouse in Oregon (Lincoln County, Newport, OR)
Here are some pictures I took of the Yaquina Head Light near Newport, OR. It has shined its light since 1873, and is the tallest lighthouse in the state of Oregon. An interesting bit of trivia: this lighthouse still uses its original Fresnel lens, now almost 150 years old, which allows its light to be seen up to 19 miles out to sea!
Taken with a Canon EOS 60D and Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens.

Hey!
Very beautiful pictures. This place attracts me with its' calmness.
Thank you, glad you like them! The Pacific NW is so beautiful that it doesn't really require much talent to capture it in a photograph, so it made my job very easy. ;)
