Biggest Sundial in Clear Lake

This is the south side of the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake, Iowa, USA. Just an awesome steeple with an actual 600 pound bell in the belfry set above the surrounding tree canopy. On a cold clear and calm night you can hear the bell ring all the way across the lake. The ridge above the sanctuary runs exactly east west so with a little bit of close observation and practice at this latitude a person can use the tip of the steeple shadow to tell the calendar date!
