One morning at all

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

Our train from Moscow to Bologoye station arrived about half-past six in the morning. And accordingly, an hour before that, I was already awake. I looked out the window and enjoyed the views of the lowlands, glades and various small ponds that sank in the fog. And a little later, when the edge of the sun rose from behind the forest, the spectacle was altogether amazing.

And, of course, all photographers in our trip would like to stop the train at least for a while and make a few shots. But unfortunately this is not possible. And we with hope went further. The hope was that in the next 3-4 days of our stay in the National Park on Lake Velia, we will still have such an opportunity.

The first day was really good in the weather, and only towards evening the sky began to drag out treacherous clouds. It was they who, a few hours later, switched to thunderstorms and provided us with a real downpour. Which went all night and half the next day. So there was no question of shooting at sunrise. We had to change the program on the fly, adjusting it to weather realities. From the house we got out much later, when the rain passed a lighter stage, and closer to dinner and ended altogether.

Partly cloudy weather kept us in suspense for the rest of the day. The wind in a few minutes, then again collected a very impressive collection of clouds, then just as quickly cleared the sky, giving us minutes to shoot. Sometimes everything got so confused that, with the sky almost clear and the sun, it was raining.

So the next morning in terms of photography was a mystery to us, but the alarm clock just in case a couple of people put. Agreed that if someone goes to just offer, to others who will give at least some signs of "life") As a result, only half of us left, and even then, with a delay of about half an hour, relative to the time of dawn.

t was 10-15 minutes to go to the place of shooting and all this time we could observe the shore of the lake, which unfortunately was without the slightest trace of fog. It seemed that the rainy day had done its job ... but after coming out on a small boat pontoon, we saw small white-orange clouds of fog. They seemed to be hiding from the wind in one single small branch of the lake. But it is in the fact that we came to)

The next hour with a little everyone took off with ecstasy as an orange ball of the sun rises above the water surface, as the last scraps of fog disappear, as birds and insects begin to wake up and start their day. The pleasure of seeing all this was huge. And our stories on their return were, I think, very inspiring. But unfortunately this morning was the only one that further emphasized its beauty.

Needless to say that it was the only such morning in the entire trip. All subsequent dawns, just a few minutes before the sun rises, the wind closed the last sections of the sky with clouds. This confirmed the old truth: It is necessary to shoot always at once, when there is at least one chance. The second chance nature can not give you.
