Macro Pill Bug - ダンゴムシマクロ！

These primitive looking creatures are not bugs, or even insects, they are in fact terrestrial crustaceans! Closer to shrimp and crabs than they are to centipedes and millipedes which they closely resemble. Though to be sure there are very short stocky millipedes that are nearly indistinguishable from the pill bug!

以外ですが、虫ではありません！甲殻類なんですよ！似ているムカデやヤスデの仲間がありますけれどこのダンゴムシはカニやエビの仲間です！不思議ですね海は遠いよ！

        I think it is a beetle. Apparently they are a kind of crab group. I love black and white photos. Thanks for your knowledge @mweich.
