Damselfly! The dragon's daintier cousin.

This brilliantly bright orange damselfly seemed to float gracefully from perch to perch.

I think this is the female Aomonito Tonbo, or Common Bluetail Damselfly; the male is blue and that is where the name comes from, a little bit sexist perhaps. This particular damselfly can be found throughout the world from Africa to East Asia!

It's very easy to discern the sense of primary importance for this insect, each large compound eye makes up 1/4 of its head!
Another interesting thing about the damselfly is that when at rest, it holds its wings parallel to its body to minimize its visible profile.
