Purple orchids are often also called orchid or cooktown orchid. The dominant purple flowers are the reason why these orchids are called purple orchids. Purple orchids belong to the family Orchidaceae and the genus Dendrobium. Purple orchid orchid orchid is still related to orchids stuberi, orchids karawai, pigeon orchids, orchids kelembai, orchid albert and zambrut orchid.
The more familiar people call it the dendrobium orchid. This orchid is one of Indonesia's original orchids. Dendrobium was first found in the Maluku archipelago, namely Larat Island. Based on Government Regulation no. 7 Year 1999, this dendrobium orchid including protected orchids. This means the orchid can not be traded except on the third generation and so on. The third generation is an orchid plant derived from captivity that has obtained official permission from the authorities.
