Legs photography

In questo post vi propongo una serie di fotografie che ritraggono un soggetto particolare: le gambe. La particolarità di questo soggetto sta nella sua linearità che ben si presta alle regole geometriche che si applicano normalmente in fotografia.

Le gambe raccontano

Potrebbe sembrare che le gambe non siano un elemento caratteristico di una personalità, eppure io stesso mi sono reso conto, riguardando queste foto, che da esse è possibile capire molto del loro proprietario…

1. Un vecchio film

La prima foto mi fa pensare ai vecchi film, forse per la grana particolare, e devo ammettere che quest’aria indefinita mi piace molto. La foto è scattata nella piazza del teatro Massimo, a Palermo. Cosa raccontano queste gambe della legittima proprietaria? A mio parere una ragazza di classe.

Legs photography

In this post I want to show you a series of photographs depicting a particular subject: the legs. The peculiarity of this subject lies in its linearity, which is well suited to the geometric rules that normally are applied to photography.

Legs tell

It may seem that the legs are not a characteristic feature of a personality, I instead realized, looking at these photos, that its possible to understand a lot from legs to their owner ...

1. Old movie

The first photo makes me think of old movies, perhaps for the particular grain, and I have to admit that I really like this undefined air. The photo was taken in the Massimo theater square in Palermo. What do these legs say about their legitimate owners? In my opinion a classy girl.

2. Movimento

La seconda foto è scattata da un punto di vista particolare, cioè con la camera poggiata per terra, siamo sempre in Piazza Verdi (teatro Massimo, Palermo), il soggetto potrebbero essere le gambe in primo piano come i ragazzi nello sfondo, incorniciati da due paia di gambe.

2. Movement

The second photo is taken from a particular point of view, that is, with the camera on the ground, I took it in Piazza Verdi (Massimo Theater, Palermo), the subject may be the foreground legs or the boys in the background, framed by two pair of legs.

3. Pista pedonale

La terza foto mostra una pista pedonale… gioca sul contrasto del pedone che cammina sopra la bici della pista pedonale… In questo caso le gambe sembrano appartenere ad un uomo anziano. Foto scattata in via Maqueda, Palermo.

3. Pedestrian lane

The third photo shows a pedestrian lane... it plays on the contrast between the walker and the bicycle lane... In this case the legs seem to belong to an old man. This photo is taken in via Maqueda, Palermo.

4. Giovani gambe

Non ci vuole molto a capire che i ragazzi proprietari di queste gambe non hanno più di 18 anni… bei tempi… sempre Piazza Verdi, sempre Palermo.

4. Young Legs

Its simple to understand that these legs are young legs an din particular not more than 18 years old... it were good times... always Piazza Verdi, always Palermo.

5. Gambe plastiche

Infine vi lascio con delle gambe libere, senza proprietario… belle gambe, anche se un po’ plastiche. La forza della foto in questo caso è la verticalità che queste gambe da manichino le donano. Questa è l’unica foto non scattata a Palermo ma a Catania.

5. Plastic legs

Finally I leave you with free legs, no owner... beautiful legs, though a little plastic. The strength of the photo in this case is the verticality that these dummy legs give to it. This is the only photo not taken in Palermo but in Catania.
