Bhuna khichuri—this khichuri is usually cooked as it is, and can be called a vegetable khichuri. Many people like to eat it with fried egg, and some enjoy it with dal or mixed with salad on top. However, it also tastes good on its own.

While cooking, some raw chickpeas are added on top. First, the chickpeas need to be boiled, and then the khichuri is cooked with them. When cooking khichuri, all the ingredients like vegetables, spices, chilies, onions—whatever you use—need to be added together right at the start of the cooking process.

The khichuri tastes quite good. Usually, on rainy days, khichuri is cooked in most places. On such days, almost everyone plans to cook and eat khichuri. It doesn’t take much time to cook khichuri. If you prepare everything and place it on the stove, it will be ready in a short amount of time.
