Prunus padus: The Bird Cherry Tree
Prunus padus, commonly known as the Bird Cherry, is a deciduous tree belonging to the Rosaceae family. Native to Europe and northern Asia, the Bird Cherry thrives in a variety of environments, showcasing its adaptability and resilience.
Botanical Characteristics Prunus padus typically grows to a height of 15-20 meters, with a rounded to broadly oval crown.
