Is that a lake? Looks pretty nice just looks like the ocean. Is it fresh water or salt water? Can you catch fish there?
Hey mitchy, yeah it's Lake Michigan, one of the 7 great lakes. I prefer driving about an hour northeast to Michigan as opposed to going to Chicago beaches. Less crowded and the water is cleaner. Indiana has some sand dunes which are cool but kinda creeps me out swimming there as to your left is a gas refinery and to your right is a nuclear silo, just seems wrong swimming right there lol.
This area was really cool had to hike about a mile through all these sand dunes to get there but was a really nice secluded spot. It's fresh water and yeah great fishing there. It's fun to go on a boat just off of Chicago as well and have the skyline as your backdrop.
