Palm house
The octagon of the Palmenhaus in Pillnitz Castle Park.
Built between 1859 and 1861 under Johann von Sachsen, today it is one of the oldest preserved cast steel and glass buildings in Europe.
The octagon is 12m high and 15m wide.
