Beautiful Schizocodon Flower

Schizocodon is a genus of flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae.It is a small genus consisting of only two known species.Schizocodon soldanelloides and Schizocodon unguiculatus.Both species are native to Asia,specifically China and Japan.Schizocodon plants are herbaceous perennials that typically grow in shady forest understories.They have a unique growth habit with elongated stems that can reach up to 30 centimeters in height.The leaves are opposite,simple,and often have serrated margins.The flowers of Schizocodon are the most distinctive feature of the plant.They are bell-shaped,with five lobes,and usually hang downward.The flowers can be white,pink,or purple,depending on the species.These plants are often cultivated as ornamentals for their attractive flowers.They prefer moist,well-draining soil and partial shade conditions.
