World's oceans: The mouth of Unare
Venezuelans call estuaries "mouths", places where a river flows into and meets the sea. This is "The mouth" of the Unare River, which joins the Caribbean Sea, in the Anzoátegui state; The site is known to be a reservoir of birds and is very popular with fishermen.

The first time I visited this "mouth" I could not believe there was such a place. It was impressive how a strip of sand barely 80 meters wide divided two different bodies of water. I was standing in the middle of that strip and it was amazing to turn to one side and see the sea, turn to the other and see the river, look up at the sky and observe countless birds fluttering over me.
This is another one of the amazing places of the Caribbean Sea 💙
