Mountain River Yupshara(Photos and Story).

It is a mountain river called Yupshara and is located in Abkhazia. All the rivers of Abkhazia originate on the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains and end up flowing into the waters of the Black Sea. The type of feeding of the rivers is mainly glacial.

The river passes through the territory of the northern part of Abkhazia. The river takes its origin from the popular lake Ritsa. The total length of the river is about 12.6 km. The maximum water level falls on May, and the lowest level of water falls on February.

Along the current of the river there is a road to Lake Ritsa. This route is very popular among tourists who come here. You can admire this river for a long time, surrounded by huge mountains. 

The water in the river runs at a staggering speed. In some places the river is very shallow, and in some places reaches a great depth.

In summer, the land-bed of the river completely dries up, since the Yupshara river has a shallow channel. There are many rapids and large stones on the river, as it passes along the bottom of a narrow and deep gorge. And this makes the river very interesting for sports rafting.

There are a lot of different fish in the Yupshara river. Very popular and delicious such as trout and salmon. The water in the river is very blue almost azure. Also, the river is very transparent through the water you can see all the small details that are on the bottom of the river.
