Youngs River Falls - Oregon (Our Last Oregon Waterfall)
Blessed, grateful, blissful, and any other word like it, can only begin to describe the awe @haileyscomet and I have felt in these enchanted lands full of amazing waterfalls and hot springs. From the radiant moss to the gorgeous snow, we fell in love with it all. We have seen so many sites, and yet so many more to come back and see. We head out in two days and will be in Washington for the next 7 weeks, until Canada for another 6 or so weeks. Much more beauty awaits us, but still in amazement at this place and all it had to offer.
I have been needing to catch up on some work and Hailey is doing a tough cleanse, so we took it easy for our final week. Youngs River Falls was only 25 miles from our campground and the hike was .1 mile, so it was perfect for just a quick lunch stop. This area is typically very crowded during the summer because of it's easy access, but luckily there were only 3 other groups that were only there for a short amount of time and gave us our space. Compared to the other falls, nothing special, but to be able to sit near this kind of water power is always a delight, especially when done with minimal effort.
These falls offered an up close view once you climbed over some huge logs blocking the way and you could get a great view of it and the splash and mist zone! We sparked up a nice pre-roll and enjoyed ourselves for a while. We found a cool little natural cave that looked like something from a Rain Forest. And a cool note, this falls was discovered by the West on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. So if you ever find yourself near Seaside or Asotira, take a lunch break here and enjoy the nature and easy hike! Stay tuned for a video of all of these latest falls coming soon!
