That's a super cool bridge! I lived in Portland, Oregon for 15 years, and there are many bridges that lift for ships coming through, but none quite as interesting as that one. They all do the regular break in half thing.
Those are pretty cool, too! There are other interesting lift bridges on the Welland Canal connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie in Ontario. I do like bridges!
Very fascinating! Especially knowing they were able to built bridge like that already at the turn of 20th century. I am wondering what exactly happened to that woman in 80's.
