It's only a couple hours at a leisurely pace from the hotel at Lake Louise (which in itself is beautiful), but you can keep going from there. You can hike higher for amazing views of Lake Louise, and add a couple hours to your hike to get to the Plain of Six Glaciers and another tea house! I'll have to post more pics in the future.
I hope to be back there in the spring. Not sure me or Cathy are up to hiking for hours, but I do want to see a lot more than we have on previous trips.
Definitely look into the Lake Agnes hike at least. That isn't too bad
