Journey continue - Kaikoura
Few places in the world can boast of such natural wonders as those offered by land and sea in Kaikoura
On 14 November 2016, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the South Island just after midnight. It left two people dead and triggered a small tsunami. One thousand tourists and hundreds of residents were stranded in Kaikoura after the earthquake cut off train and vehicle access.

It's surprising that a place looking so calm and beautiful had a strong earthquake that took lives just not too long ago. Reminds us that Mother Nature can rage anytime and anywhere.

Hi @brumest. Amazing contrast is the main point in New Zealand. The only place in the world where you can take a single photo with glacier, plain, tropical forest and beach. Stay tuned if you want to see more stunning contrast ;)
