The infamous Chernobyl reactor #4, the one that blew it's top the morning of April 26, 1986.

Six years ago today, I overnighted, yes legally, in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Photo from April 27, 2012. Most trips are day trips only.

    I remember some men sacrificed their lives to stop Chernobyl being much worse than it was. I hope we don't have to rely on nuclear fission for much longer.

      The closest incident so far to Chernobyl is Fukashima, and I don't think we've heard the whole story about that one yet.
