Hello Steemian Friends!
Today I come to you with another Fashion blog, where I show some pieces of my wardrobe and therefore give you a little more insight into my daily life and a bit of my personality. While on a daily basis I try to follow a comfort rule ; in other words I dress to be comfortable in case I decided to spontaneously climb any mountains or run a marathon (the second one is made up… I hate running). Travelling is a deep passion of mine, and I try to do as much as possible while I’m on the go… which leaves me a limited amount of choices when it comes to picking outfits from my wardrobe.
But there are occasional days, where I’m not bound by the office dress code rule, or travel dress rule and I can openly pick an outfit without caring about its practicality…. Well, that day was today.

A day off, with small errands to run, turned into a little bit of a photo shoot towards the end. I was wearing a v-cut dress, with some nice Victorian style jacket, my cat moon bag, moon earrings, platform boots and my signature hat to finish off.
I have to admit that the look was a little dramatic but this day I felt like a gothic princess and dressed accordingly without shame!
To highlight the drama of the outfit I headed to a nearby seaside where the misty weather was too perfect for the atmosphere I was looking for. I’ve taken a number of shots outlining the details of the outfit I was wearing but also had a complete blast just taking the images.

If you follow my blog you are probably more than aware that I enjoy taking images thoroughly but sadly am not the one for having my own photos taken… a lot of times I look into the distance facing away from the camera in complete shyness.
Well, with this interesting point I think you will find it evident in these shots that I feel a lot more comfortable and maybe even more confident in front of the lens. I find it extremely intriguing how dressing a certain way can influence our moods, motivation and also confidence. You wouldn’t find me posing the same way if I was wearing a hoodie that day. I think each day and occasion has its own outfit, and it’s up to you to dress the part! I think there’s a whole psychology behind how we present ourselves through an outfit or how we want to be perceived.

This topic is not only for women, speaking to a number of men I found that although majority of time they pay no attention to their outfit, putting a suit on for example makes them instantly feel more confident, professional and dominant and also helps them perform better at a job, meeting or whatever they have on. I’m not speaking for all mankind out there, but I feel like there’s a valid point in what I’m saying.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I encourage anyone to reach into their wardrobe and dress in clothes that make you feel empowering, confident and attractive. We all have to follow some type of dress codes in our life whether because of work, school among many. But dressing in what you please without a special occasion…. Say if for example you only needed to go outside to get some milk, or had a chilled day a home…. Pick a day to fully express your individuality through clothing and wait for the magic of confidence, mood uplift and creativity flow through you.

Don’t care what others think about you, I turned a lot of heads that day due to such a dramatic outfit and my blue hair. But one that perceives it as a judgemental gesture can be mistaken as it as well could be an act of admiration. While people were looking at me, I focused on being me and being happy and through that I got some compliments from strangers who said I look amazing.
