The Disc Has Reappeared!
The elusive bright yellow disc in the sky has made a comeback. As I went to get lunch and my daughter from school, I got some pictures. In all of the pictures below, I picked aperture (the f-value) and shutter speed by hand. I let the camera select the ISO value.

Lake Alasenjärvi in Ahtiala where we moved away from almost exactly a year ago.

This is roughly the way it looks to the naked eye.
I corrected the exposure of this one in post processing. The original is below.
That clump of houses is part of the district of Viuha on the north shore of the lake.

This is how it came out. It was difficult to see that it was a bit overexposed on the camera screen. Very easy to correct, although the white roofs basking in the sun are going to be very bright no matter what.

I think I could've used a smaller aperture and/or a faster shutter speed in the last few ones. But they were easy to fix in post processing.

It is nice to see the disc every now and then, indeed.
Friend the last photo and the second are my favorites, all photos are excellent and the best is the very simple explanation of how you manage to take them.
But at last with that contrast of sun illuminating the building but at the same time a shadow that covers it and the depth with which you can see the details until the end of the street.

Thanks! I guess I managed to stumble upon the right aperture, then. My intention was everything to be clearly visible down the street in each of the picture.
If friend, from my point of view you see everything until the end of the street was an excellent shot.
But I repeat the part of the building was great those two time sun and shadow.

Been in Helsinki, Finland recently, we had a great time there, especially had fun in the shopping malls and night clubs! During the day we could take some snow pictures with white trees on the back! Was amazing! Got to go more north next time, hopefully it wont be to cold! (upvoted and resteemed)

It is the sun. Sunshine has been in short supply here in the recent month and a half. The sun is very low even when it is not overcast.
