Floating Forest
At the bottom of the Bay of Sydney, Australia, lie the remains of numerous shipwrecks, especially in an area called Homebush Bay, very close to the Olympic Village. However, the most famous of these beached boats is the SS Ayrfield, also known as "The floating forest" due to the lush vegetation of the mangroves that now covers its rusty hull.
After the war, despite being an old ship, it was still useful, so it served again as a coal ship between the Australian ports of Newcastle and Sydney until its definitive "retirement" in 1972.
